
As of July 1 2025, there are 16,685 enterprises with foreign investment operating in Uzbekistan, National Statistics Committee reports.
Of these, 4,124 are joint ventures while 12,561 are fully foreign-owned enterprises. This reflects a 20.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
The number of foreign-invested enterprises by country of origin is as follows:
- China – 4,192
- Russia – 3,098
- Turkey – 2,007
- Kazakhstan – 1,157
- South Korea – 687
- Afghanistan – 680
- United Arab Emirates – 374
- India – 333
- United States – 321
From January to July 2025, Uzbekistan witnessed a consistent rise in the number of enterprises with foreign investment, reaching 16,685 companies by July. This includes 4,124 joint ventures and 12,561 fully foreign-owned enterprises.
The most active investors came from China (4,192 companies), Russia (3,098), and Turkey (2,007), followed by Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, South Korea, UAE, India, and the United States. Monthly data shows a steady upward trend, with China and Russia leading in new registrations.
