Uzbekistan and Portugal Agreed on Economic Cooperation

The Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and his Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel signed an agreement on economic cooperation, as reported in the Telegram Channel of the Head of the Uzbek Minister.

According to Saidov, the signed document will help strengthen trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Tashkent and Lisbon established diplomatic relations on 12 August 1992.

In mid-May 2024, the parties discussed the possibility of attracting Portuguese investments in our country. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organise a visit of Portuguese businesses to Uzbekistan.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that the European Union will allocate six million euros to Uzbekistan to develop agriculture.
