On Tuesday, the First Among Equals Award Ceremony, organised by Kursiv Uzbekistan, was held at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent Hotel. The event honoured women leaders, entrepreneurs, activists, as well as organisations and projects promoting women’s leadership development in Central Asia.

What is women’s leadership

Anastasia Novikova, the Editor-in-Chief of Kursiv Uzbekistan, highlighted the significance of women’s leadership for the country’s sustainable development. In her speech, she stated, “True leadership is not about seeking power or competing with men; it is the ability to inspire, create a positive atmosphere, and make wise decisions. We must unite to promote the principles of women’s leadership, as it contributes to the prosperity of society, the economy, science, art, and many other fields.”
