Uzbekistani Farzona Fozilova has won a gold medal at the Asian Boxing Championships, as reported Yangi Uzbekistan.
Competing in the 48 kg category, the Uzbek athlete defeated Vietnam’s Ling Chin Go with a score of 4-1 in the final match.
Shokhid Tillaboyev, the general secretary of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, was one of the first to congratulate Fozilova.
The Asian Boxing Championships are taking place in Thailand from November 28 to December 12. The competition was initially scheduled to be held in Amman, Jordan.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov has retired from amateur boxing.
