Incentives introduced for hiring students
Uzbekistan has removed excise taxes on mobile communication services. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law approving the changes.
The law offers temporary tax breaks to the IT sector and the publishing and printing industries.
Entrepreneurs can claim incentives for hiring students, young professionals, and individuals from low-income families.
From next year businesses adopting alternative energy sources will receive partial tax exemptions.
At the same time, the law eliminates profit and turnover tax benefits for export-oriented enterprises. This adjustment supports Uzbekistan’s preparation for WTO membership.
