Number Of Uzbek Victims Of Alcohol Poisoning In Turkey Rises To Ten

The number of Uzbek citizens who have died from poisoning by substandard alcohol in Turkey has reached ten, as reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

Previously, the diplomatic mission had reported the deaths of six Uzbeks. Turkish authorities have arrested two citizens of Turkmenistan who are suspected of producing counterfeit alcohol.

“Consular staff remain in constant contact with the Istanbul Health Department and the Forensic Medicine Institute, as well as law enforcement agencies,” the mission clarified.
