Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Museum of Islamic Art during his trip to Malaysia, according to the Press-Office of the Uzbek President.
Established in 1998, the Museum is located near the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. It features over 10,000 Islamic art exhibits, including unique Quran manuscripts, jewellery, ceramics and coins.
The Museum’s collection includes about 200 exhibits created during various historical periods in what is now modern-day Uzbekistan.
Kursiv Uzbekistan reports that in late January of this year, Mirziyoyev also visited the Center of Islamic Civilisation, which is currently under construction.
