Uzum Contributes UZS 1.2 Trln In Taxes to Budget

In 2024, the national digital ecosystem Uzum transferred UZS 1.2 trln in taxes to the budget of Uzbekistan, as reported by the press service of the company to Kursiv Uzbekistan.

The volume of contributions grew by 28% compared to the previous year. Uzum secured second place in the list of the largest taxpayers in the private sector.

By the end of 2024, every third Uzbek citizen used the marketplace and other services offered by Uzum. The company’s workforce increased by 3,000 employees.

The founder and CEO of Uzum, Jasur Jumayev, highlighted the company’s role in supporting small and medium-sized businesses. According to him, thanks to the marketplace and other services, entrepreneurs have access to growth tools and business scaling opportunities.

Additionally, the development of e-commerce and financial services is reducing the share of the shadow economy:

«By developing fintech services for businesses and e-commerce in the country, we are contributing to the formalisation of the economy and increasing tax revenues. We are proud to contribute to the prosperity and development of our country,» emphasised Jasur Jumayev.
