ISIS Leader in Iraq and Syria Killed in US Airstrike

US forces have eliminated Abdullah Makki Muslih al-Rifai, also known as Abu Khadija, a key leader of ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The US Central Command confirmed the operation.
The airstrike targeted his vehicle in Al Anbar province, Iraq, killing both him and another militant. The identity of the second individual has not been disclosed.
After the strike, US and Iraqi forces arrived at the scene to confirm the identities of those killed.
Makki was one of ISIS’s most senior figures, overseeing logistics, attack planning, and financial operations for the group on a global scale. His death marks a significant blow to the organisation’s operational capabilities.
