Uzbekistan Names Top Manufacturing Taxpayers

Uzbekneftegaz leads the ranking of Uzbekistan’s largest manufacturing taxpayers. In the first quarter of 2025, the company paid UZS 863.3 bn (USD 66.7 mln) into the state budget, according to the State Tax Committee.

Cigarette manufacturer British American Tobacco Uzbekistan (UzBAT) came second, paying UZS 620 bn (USD 47.9 mln). UzAuto Motors ranked third, contributing UZS 413.2 bn (USD 31.9 mln).

Overall, 56,000 manufacturing enterprises paid UZS 20.6 trillion (USD 1.59 bn) in taxes during the first quarter.

The top 20 taxpayers accounted for UZS 3.8 trillion (USD 293.6 mln) of total contributions. VAT and excise duties each generated nearly UZS 1 trillion (USD 77.3 mln).

Taxes on subsoil use brought in UZS 567 bn (USD 43.8 mln), while corporate profit taxes and personal income taxes generated UZS 477 bn (USD 36.9 mln) and UZS 291.4 bn (USD 22.5 mln) respectively.
