U.S. Dollar Exchange Rate Falls

Central Bank sets the rate at 12,831.13 UZS

On May 28, Uzbekistan’s currency exchange set the U.S. dollar rate at 12,831.13 Uzbek soums. The dollar fell by 55.77 soums over the day. The Central Bank of Uzbekistan set its official rate at the same level.

Banks are buying dollars at rates between 12,775 and 12,860 soums and selling them for 12,890 to 12,950 soums.

The Russian ruble is trading at 161.07 soums, while the euro stands at 14,542.8 soums.

In bank exchange offices, rubles are bought at 90–152 soums and sold for 160–190 soums. Euros are bought at 12,000–14,400 soums and sold for 14,660–15,500 soums.

Kursiv Uzbekistan reports that the rental yield of housing in Tashkent fell to 6.2% annually in April.
