The organising committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics has unveiled the full competition schedule along with the designated venues for each sport.

While the official opening ceremony is set for July 14, several qualification rounds are due to begin two days earlier, on July 12. The opening ceremony will take place at a purpose-built stadium named Stadium 2028. Once the ceremony concludes, the venue will be converted into an aquatic centre to host swimming events throughout the following week.

First medals of the Games will be awarded on July 15, covering disciplines such as triathlon, athletics, canoe slalom, fencing, judo, rugby sevens and shooting.

The LA 2028 Olympic Games will conclude on July 30, with final competitions in marathon, basketball, boxing, track cycling, swimming, volleyball and wrestling taking place earlier in the day. The closing ceremony will be held at the historic LA Memorial Coliseum.
