AirAsia X to Launch Direct Flights Between Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur

From October 15, 2025, Malaysian budget airline AirAsia X will begin operating direct flights between Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur, creating a new travel corridor between Central and Southeast Asia. The announcement was made by the portal Travel and Tour World.

One-way tickets on the new route start from 2.7 mln UZS (approximately $199) for bookings made by August 3, with the fare including 7 kg of cabin baggage.

The service will run three times weekly, with flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

According to the schedule, planes will leave Tashkent at 19:30, arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 06:10 the following morning. The return flight will depart Kuala Lumpur at 13:25, reaching Tashkent at 18:15. All times are local to each city.

AirAsia X, founded in 2007, is a long-haul low-cost carrier based in Selangor, Malaysia. The new route marks a significant step in expanding air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Southeast Asia.

Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan Airways and China Southern Airlines have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening cooperation.
