Air Quality Index
As of 09:00 on August 13, data from Tashkent’s automated air monitoring stations showed that concentrations of major pollutants remained within the permissible limits set by sanitary regulations.
- PM10 (coarse particulate matter) was measured at 71.05 µg/m³, well below the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of 500 µg/m³.
- PM2.5 (fine particulate matter) stood at 13.54 µg/m³, below the MPC of 35 µg/m³.
- Carbon monoxide (CO), mainly from vehicle emissions and industrial activity, was recorded at 0.30 mg/m³, far under the MPC of 5 mg/m³.
These comparisons are based on the sanitary regulations SanPiN 0053-23, which were amended on May 27, 2024 to include updated PM2.5 thresholds.
