At Tashkent’s Olympia Stadium the Uzbekistan national football team claimed a convincing 4-0 victory against Kyrgyzstan, securing their place in the final of the CAFA Nations Cup 2025.

The match began with early pressure from the visitors. In the fifth minute Atabayev struck the crossbar from a free kick, but momentum soon shifted towards the hosts. On 26 minutes Akmal Mozgovoy opened the scoring after VAR confirmation. Just before half-time Kyrgyzstan were reduced to ten men when Valeriy Kichin was sent off for a last-man foul.

In the second half Timur Kapadze’s side stepped up the pace. Otabek Shukurov calmly converted a penalty in the 67th minute to double the lead, and on 82 minutes Igor Sergeev headed home from a cross to make it 3-0. In stoppage time Aziz Turgunboev added a fourth, sealing a comprehensive win in front of 3,842 spectators.

With this result Uzbekistan finished top of their group and advanced to the final, while Kyrgyzstan ended their campaign without a chance of competing for the trophy.
