ITV’s I’m a Celebrity is stirring up an ‘influencer war’ after reports that a well-known social media personality has signed up for the next series.

The long-running show, hosted by Ant and Dec, is finalising its cast of campmates, with early speculation pointing to a mix of soap actors and a breakfast TV favourite.

Angry Ginge Heads Into the Jungle

According to The Express, YouTube and TikTok creator Angry Ginge — real name Morgan Burtwhistle — is expected to head into the Australian jungle. The 23-year-old began posting online in 2021 and has since built a large following.

A source claimed his addition has upset other influencers eager to appear on the show.

«It’s turned into an influencer war every year now. Some of the biggest names in that space have been trying to get into the jungle for ages, and they feel ITV keeps overlooking them. First it was GK Barry last year, now it’s Angry Ginge, people are fuming,» they told the outlet.

The same insider said more established online figures feel «stitched up» by the decision.

Soap and Screen Legends Also Linked

At the same time, The Sun reported that Emmerdale favourite Lisa Riley is being lined up. Riley, 49, who plays Mandy Dingle, first joined the soap in 1995 and returned to the role in 2019. A TV insider said:

«Lisa is the perfect celebrity for the show. She’s from a soap watched by millions, she’s a big character, and it’s an ITV production. She also has a cheeky sense of humour which will go down well with campmates and viewers alike.»

Riley would not be the first Emmerdale star to take part. Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, won I’m a Celebrity in 2021.

Bookmakers also believe Denise Van Outen could enter the jungle after years of turning it down. With a new album due in the autumn and a spring tour on the horizon, Ladbrokes’ Cal Gildart said:

«It looks like the stars have finally aligned to give us Denise van Outback in 2025. There’s a clear gap in her diary she could fill with a Bushtucker Trial or two.»

Kursiv also reports that King Charles has reportedly decided that Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, will not be invited to the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations this year.
