The number of cryptocurrency millionaires worldwide has soared to 241,700, according to the Crypto Wealth Report 2025 by Henley & Partners, marking a 40% increase in just one year.

The surge is driven by a sharp rise in Bitcoin millionaires, now at 145,100, up 70% year-on-year, alongside a total crypto market valuation of USD 3.3 trillion as of June 2025, a 45% jump from 2024.

At the very top of the crypto wealth pyramid, 450 centi-millionaires hold portfolios exceeding USD 100 mln, while the number of crypto billionaires has climbed to 36.

Analysts link the boom to accelerating institutional adoption, with 2025 witnessing the first cryptocurrencies launched by a sitting U.S. President and First Lady.

Dominic Volek, Group Head of Private Clients at Henley & Partners, said the rise of borderless digital wealth is forcing governments and wealth managers to rethink finance:

«Cryptocurrency has made geography optional — with nothing more than 12 memorized words, an individual can secure a billion dollars in Bitcoin.»

The report also identifies Singapore, Hong Kong, the U.S., Switzerland and the UAE as the world’s top crypto-friendly jurisdictions, with the Emirates scoring highest for tax benefits.

Despite risks around regulation and volatility, experts say crypto is becoming a parallel financial system, increasingly used as collateral and wealth storage rather than just speculation.
