Allied Biofuels to Invest $5.9 Bn in Uzbekistan’s First Green Aviation Fuel Plant

Allied Biofuels FE LLC Uzbekistan has signed agreements with the Khorezm regional authorities to construct a plant producing green aviation fuel, the company’s press service told Kursiv Uzbekistan. The project carries an investment value of $5.9 bn.
The plant will be located in Tuprakkala district and will be the first facility of its kind in Central Asia. It is expected to produce 382,000 tonnes of aviation fuel annually, along with other fuel types, all designed with zero emissions.
According to the company, the project represents the first step towards creating a climate-focused aviation fuel supply chain in Uzbekistan and will strengthen Khorezm’s position as a new hub for sustainable energy and industrial innovation.
Alfred Benedict, chairman of Allied Biofuels, described the signing of the agreements as a historic moment for both the company and the Khorezm region.
Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan and the United States have reached agreements on energy projects worth between $3 and $4 bn.
