Apple CEO Tim Cook received a unique gift during his visit to China — a custom Labubu figurine crafted in his image, according to Rozetked. The present was handed to him by Pop Mart founder Wang Ning and Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, the creator of the popular Labubu series.
Cook’s trip coincides with the upcoming release of the iPhone Air in China. Pre-orders for the new device will open on October 17, with official sales beginning on October 22.

The model’s entry into the Chinese market had been delayed due to eSIM integration issues, as the iPhone Air is available exclusively with an electronic SIM rather than the traditional physical card used in other Apple products.
In preparation for the launch, China’s three major telecom operators have announced the rollout of eSIM services nationwide. Customers will be able to activate their eSIM by visiting a company branch.
Kursiv also reports that Sergei Lavrov joked about the absence of popular toy monster Labubu while inspecting the décor at Putin’s meeting venue in Beijing.
