Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) reached 1,304 trln soums ($108.7 bn) between January and September 2025, marking a 7.6% increase compared with the same period last year, according to the national statistics agency.
The main drivers of growth were industry, construction and services. Industrial output rose by 6.8%, construction expanded by 14.2%, and the services sector grew by 8.7%. The most dynamic progress was seen in information technology, which recorded growth of more than 21%.
GDP per capita reached 34.5 mln soums ($2,880), up 5.6% year-on-year. The services sector now accounts for 49% of the economy, industry makes up a quarter, while agriculture’s share has declined to 17%.
Small enterprises generated over half of the country’s total added value (51.5%), with particularly strong activity in agriculture and services.
The agency also reported that the non-observed economy which includes household production and the shadow sector is estimated at 433.7 trln soums ($36.2 bn), representing roughly one-third of Uzbekistan’s GDP.
Central Bank of Uzbekistan had earlier estimated that backed by steady investment and business activity, the annual GDP growth would reach around 7–7.5%.
