Uzbekistan to Introduce 30-Day Visa-Free Entry for US Citizens from 2026

From January 2026, Uzbekistan will introduce a 30-day visa-free regime for citizens of the United States, according to a presidential decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, state news agency UzA reports.
The measure is aimed at strengthening trade, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism ties between Uzbekistan and the US.
Since 2021, US citizens aged 55 and over have already been able to visit Uzbekistan visa-free for 30 days for tourism purposes. The new policy extends that privilege to all American visitors, marking another step in the country’s efforts to encourage international travel and investment.
According to the National Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan received 19,200 visitors from the US in the first nine months of this year, a 20.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, 13,300 came for tourism, 1,800 for work, and 1,500 to visit relatives.
Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan has extended its visa-free travel policy to citizens of six additional countries, while also lengthening the permitted stay for visitors from China.
