Chris Eubank Jr Reveals Gruesome Injuries and Ambulance Delay Before Benn Rematch

Chris Eubank Jr has revealed the severe aftermath of his April clash with Conor Benn, responding to critics who accused him of seeking sympathy.
At a press conference in September promoting their upcoming rematch, the IBO middleweight champion claimed his ambulance was delayed leaving Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after their 12-round fight, which he won by unanimous decision. On November 3, Eubank Jr posted a video on social media showing an ambulance attempting to leave the venue, which he said supported his claim.
Battered and Bruised
The 36-year-old, son of boxing legend Chris Eubank, faced criticism from some followers who suggested he was exaggerating his injuries. In response, he shared a striking post-fight photo from the hospital showing his swollen, bruised face and battered body.

Captioning the image, Eubank Jr wrote:
«I saw comments yesterday saying I’m playing the victim & looking for sympathy after showing what happened to my ambulance in April. If I cared about people’s sympathy, I would’ve posted this picture a long time ago.»
Preparing for Rematch
Eubank Jr and Benn will settle their long-running family rivalry again at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 8. He said releasing the post-fight image is partly to prevent a repeat of the ambulance delay, adding:
«I’m shining a light on the situation to make sure that if I end up looking like this again on Nov 15, after another dog fight, that I’m simply taken to hospital as quickly as possible… that is all.»
Eubank Jr previously suggested that Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn may have contributed to the 20-minute delay of the ambulance. Hearn strongly denied any involvement and indicated he would pursue legal action if a retraction was not issued.
