Pakistan’s Misbah Khar Welcomes Global Delegations to Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference

Advisor to the Chairman Senate and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC), Misbah Khar, welcomed high-level delegations from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Liberia and Uzbekistan as Islamabad hosts the latest ISC meeting.

Khar opened the day’s bilateral engagements by receiving the Saudi delegation, praising the long-standing Pakistan–Saudi partnership and expressing hope for the Kingdom’s prospective ISC membership. She said both countries share a commitment to global peace, dialogue and sustainable development.

In talks with H.E. Lancen Haddad, Vice President of Morocco, Khar highlighted Morocco’s active role in the forum. Haddad commended Pakistan’s leadership and reaffirmed his country’s support for strengthening parliamentary cooperation.

Meeting the Liberian delegation, led by Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Khar stressed Pakistan’s dedication to inter-parliamentary collaboration based on mutual respect. Speaker Koon praised Pakistan’s initiative and confirmed Liberia’s readiness to contribute to the ISC’s global agenda.

Khar also welcomed H.E. Alisher Tukhtaev, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, discussing future cooperation and planned MoUs to advance shared development goals.

Concluding the engagements, Khar extended Pakistan’s «warmest welcome» to all visiting delegations, expressing confidence that the ISC will deepen parliamentary partnerships and promote unity across regions.
