F1 25 to Feature 2026 Season Update as EA SPORTS Prepares Major 2027 Revamp
EA SPORTS has revealed plans for F1 25, which will now include content covering both the 2025 and 2026 FIA Formula One World Championships. The announcement also outlined the future of the EA SPORTS F1 series, with a new and expanded game set for release in 2027.
Following the commercial and critical success of F1 25, praised by players, media, content creators and F1® drivers, a paid expansion will bring the game up to date with the major changes coming in 2026. This includes new cars, sporting regulations, teams, and drivers.
The premium update forms part of a wider strategy for the F1 franchise. In 2027, EA SPORTS plans to release a reimagined F1 title, offering fresh gameplay, enhanced features, and more choices for players.
Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, said: «F1 25 has been an incredible success, fuelled by the passion of fans and the energy of the sport. With Formula 1’s momentum on and off the track, now is the perfect time to build for the future. We’re fully committed to the EA SPORTS F1 franchise. Our multi-year plan extends this year’s excitement with the 2026 expansion and reimagines the F1 experience for 2027 to deliver even more for players at every level around the world.»
Formula 1 will also be featuring in Epic Games’ Fortnite. The ‘F1 Cosmetic Team Set’ goes live in-game on Thursday November 20 before the start of Las Vegas Grand Prix.
