A Dunfermline grandmother, Agnes, known online as EpicGamerGrandma, died in hospital on Sunday surrounded by her family after suffering a stroke in October.

Her TikTok account attracted 2.4 mln followers and more than 81 mln likes, with videos showing her gaming, using soundboards and experimenting with face filters.

Her death was confirmed by her grandson, Dylan King, in an Instagram post on Tuesday. He said she proved that age was never a barrier. In a statement shared online, he said the family was proud of who she was long before her online fame and of the way she spent her later years showing that life continues to evolve rather than end with age.

Dylan described her as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, neighbour and friend who always put others first, kept families connected and quietly carried responsibilities without complaint.

Alongside light-hearted content, Agnes also spoke openly about living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which earned her the nickname the coughing gran, and about coping with grief following the death of her husband, George.

In the weeks before her death, her grandson had shared updates on her health. She was first admitted to hospital due to complications linked to COPD and later suffered a series of strokes.

Her videos built a large international following, particularly among younger audiences, who embraced her humour and honesty.

Kursiv also reports that Kevin Arkadie, the American television producer best known for co-creating the police drama «New York Undercover», has died at the age of 68.
