Tashkent Stock Market Update: UCI Index Up 3.43%

Most of the highly liquid stocks listed on the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange showed positive performance between January 9 and 16, helping the UCI fund index climb 3.43%.

During this period, ordinary shares of Ipoteka-bank posted the largest increase, rising 82.39%. Shares of Aloqabank also gained 43.18%, while ordinary shares of Uzsanoatqurilishbank increased by 40.31%.

On the other hand, Uzbekgeofizika shares fell 2.93%, recording the biggest weekly decline. Shares of UzAuto Motors fell 1.85%, and preferred shares of Uzsanoatqurilishbank dropped 1.83%. Only ordinary shares of Biznesni rivojlantirish banki remained unchanged.

Of the highly liquid stocks, 24 ended the week in positive territory, one remained unchanged, and four finished lower.

Last week, the UCI fund index was reported to have risen by 0.95%. During that period, ordinary shares of Uzsanoatqurilishbank led gains with a 75.48% rise. Both preferred and ordinary shares of Hamkorbank also increased, by 17.37% and 15.12% respectively.
