Uzbekistan’s average monthly salary continued to rise in 2025, with Tashkent maintaining its position as the country’s highest-paying region, according to the National Statistics Committee.

In the capital, the average monthly wage reached 10.75 mln soums ($889), an increase of 18.3% from a year earlier.

Nationwide, average monthly earnings climbed to 6.38 mln soums ($527), marking close to 19% annual growth.

Several regions recorded especially strong income gains. In Namangan, Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions, average wages ranged from 4.7 mln ($388) to 5.1 mln soums ($422), with growth exceeding 20%. The slowest increase was seen in Andijan region, where salaries rose by 13.4% to 5.24 mln soums ($433).

By sector, the fastest wage growth was reported in arts, leisure and entertainment. Average pay in this field rose by 26.4% over the year to 5.45 mln soums ($450).

The highest salaries remain concentrated in the financial sector. Employees in banking, insurance and credit intermediation earn an average of 17.6 mln soums ($1,455) per month. Significant income growth was also recorded in information technology and communications, as well as in transport and storage services.
