Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey Sign 12 Cooperation Agreements

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a joint declaration and cooperation decisions. The signing followed fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between the two countries.
The documents outline mechanisms to deepen cooperation within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
A package of bilateral agreements was also concluded, covering cooperation across several sectors. These include joint initiatives in healthcare, education and military medicine, as well as partnerships aimed at developing mining projects and international transport corridors.
The two sides also agreed to expand cooperation in nuclear safety, migration policy, religious affairs, light industry, foreign policy coordination and cultural exchange programmes planned for 2026 and 2027.
