UzOman Acquires 33.3% Stake in Hektaş Asia LLC in Strategic Investment Deal
UzOman Investment Company has acquired a 33.3% share in Hektas Asia LLC, the Uzbekistan-focused unit of OYAK’s Hektas, marking a strategic step in industrial cooperation between Central Asia, Oman and Turkey.
The stake increase — carried out through a $24.9 mln capital injection — was formalised at a signing event in Istanbul by Hektas CEO Enis Emre Terzi and UzOman Investment Director Mohammed Al Abri.
The partnership supports the construction of a high-technology agricultural chemicals facility in the Uzbek-Turkish Organised Industrial Zone near Tashkent, scheduled to begin operations in 2027. The project aims to boost local production of advanced agricultural inputs, reduce dependence on imports and strengthen Uzbekistan’s role as a regional hub for agricultural solutions in Central Asia, officials said.
The collaboration reflects shared goals of regional industrial development, increased food security and sustainable economic value creation, underscoring growing investment ties between Uzbekistan, Oman and Turkish industry partners.
