BTS has unveiled the Official Light Stick Ver.4, an upgraded version of its fan light stick with new features and an enhanced wireless control system. The Ver.4 release comes nearly six years after the previous Map of The Soul Special Edition.
The new Light Stick offers a refreshed design and comes with compatible accessories, including a cradle and replaceable parts in BTS and ARMY versions. A new app and improved wireless system enhance usability and allow more sophisticated stage effects during concerts.
Key upgrades include:
- Improved wireless control: Expanded colour range, refined gradients, and more precise effects across different areas. Fans can check pairing before concerts and enjoy automatic wireless control even if pairing is incomplete.
- Enhanced convenience: The app shows concert venue maps and pairing booth locations, records past concert pairings, and allows users to set colours and flashing effects. A new «Color Shaking» feature changes colours when the Light Stick is shaken, and it can be used at home with the cradle as a mood lamp.
Wireless control support:
Until the Las Vegas concert on May 28, 2026, Ver.3, SE and Ver.4 Light Sticks will be compatible. From June 12, 2026 in Busan, only Ver.4 will support wireless control, offering more advanced concert effects.
Sales of the Map of The Soul Special Edition have ended. Pre-orders for the Ver.4 Light Stick start February 9, 2026, priced at $35.05 for the Light Stick, $17.88 for the cradle, and $7.15 for each attachment.
Purchase limits apply: 1 Light Stick or cradle per account, and up to 2 attachments per account. Products are sold separately and cannot be shipped with other items.
