Top Cities Where People Have Sex Most Often

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Time Out analysed responses from a survey of 18,500 people living in major cities worldwide, asking how often they had sex. Cities were ranked by the proportion of locals reporting sexual activity at least once a week.
Cities leading the way
Topping the list in a joint first place, with 67% of residents having sex weekly, were Macau on China’s south coast and Krakow, Poland’s second city. Close behind, in second place, were Guadalajara, Sao Paulo and Luxembourg, where 66% of respondents reported weekly intimacy. Porto, Portugal followed in third place with 64%.
Overall, Brazil emerged as the country with the highest levels of sexual activity, with three cities appearing in the top 20, while Mexico had two. Other notable cities included Marseille, France; Bangkok, Thailand; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Panama City, Panama; Cambridge, UK and Naples, Italy.
The survey provides insight into global sexual habits and shows that frequency varies widely between regions, reflecting cultural, social and lifestyle differences.
