Iran has launched a new barrage of missiles targeting the Dubai International Financial Centre in the United Arab Emirates, as tensions across the Middle East continue to escalate.

Authorities in Dubai said the strike caused minor damage and no reported injuries, although smoke was seen rising from the city’s central financial district following the attack.

The latest strikes come after the United States and Israel reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei, during a military operation referred to as Operation Epic Fury. In response, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks across several parts of the Middle East.

The situation is now spreading beyond the Gulf region. Turkey confirmed that a ballistic missile launched from Iran entered its airspace and was shot down by NATO air defence systems deployed in the eastern Mediterranean.

Air raid sirens were also reported near Incirlik Air Base, a major NATO military facility.

Following the attack in Dubai, several banks in the financial district instructed employees not to return to offices, amid warnings that Iranian strikes could target U.S. and Israeli financial institutions in the region.

Earlier this week, a residential skyscraper in Dubai Creek Harbour was also hit, triggering a fire that spread through parts of the building. Four people, including citizens of Ghana, Bangladesh and India, were injured in a separate strike near Dubai’s airport.

The escalating conflict has also disrupted aviation. All flights in and out of Dubai were temporarily grounded, while Emirates said it was prioritizing the safety of passengers and staff.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military confirmed that two Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft were involved in an incident over Iraq during operations linked to the conflict. According to United States Central Command, the aircraft collided in mid-air in friendly airspace.

The tanker crash marks the fourth aircraft loss connected to the current military operations against Iran in recent days.
