Uzbekistan and U.S. Plan Joint Investment Platform by End of 2026

Uzbekistan and the United States are preparing to launch a joint investment platform by the end of 2026, according to Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration.
The initiative was discussed during talks with Ben Black, head of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. An agreement to establish the platform was signed in February during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Washington.
Mirziyoyeva said the meeting focused on a broad pipeline of projects, noting that DFC will support efforts to attract American investors to Uzbekistan and share investment risks. Senior Uzbek officials, including Komil Allamjonov, Laziz Kudratov and ambassador Furkat Sidikov, also took part in the discussions.
The DFC is a U.S. government agency that finances projects in developing countries, supporting private investment in sectors such as infrastructure, energy and technology across more than 100 nations.
It provides loans, guarantees and risk insurance to encourage companies to enter new markets. As of April this year, the agency’s global investment portfolio exceeded $40 bn.
