South Korean actor and 2PM band member Ok Taec-yeon has tied the knot with his non-celebrity partner of ten years. The private wedding took place on Friday at the prestigious Shilla Hotel in central Seoul, The Korea Times reports.
The intimate ceremony was exclusively attended by family members and close friends. Fans of the K-pop group will be delighted to know that the event featured a full 2PM reunion. The bandmates delivered a special congratulatory musical performance to celebrate the occasion while Hwang Chan-sung took on the role of master of ceremonies. This joyous milestone makes Ok the second member of the hit musical act to get married following Hwang’s own nuptials.
The bride is four years younger than the singer. Ok first confirmed their relationship back in 2020 after casual photographs of the couple surfaced on the internet. He later announced their engagement last November via a heartfelt handwritten letter addressed to his supporters.
At the time of his announcement the star shared that he had promised to spend his life with someone who had understood and believed in him for a long time. He stated they would navigate life’s journey together and always support one another. His devotion was also on full display during the KBS Drama Awards that same year when he concluded his Best Actor acceptance speech with a public declaration of love by stating, «I love you, Ji-hye.»
Having debuted with 2PM in 2008 Ok Taec-yeon has successfully built a lasting career across both music and television. Over the years he has starred in a variety of popular dramas including Cinderella’s Stepsister, Dream High, Vincenzo and Secret Royal Inspector & Joy.
