Uzbekistan Begins Training Camp Ahead of Canada and Netherlands Friendlies
The Uzbekistan national football team commenced its training camp ahead of two international friendly matches. According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, the squad is sharpening its preparations for a demanding summer schedule on the global stage.
The White Wolves are scheduled to face Canada on June 2 in Edmonton. Following this fixture, the Uzbek contingent will travel to a training base in New York to prepare for a clash against the Netherlands on June 8.
As of the latest FIFA world rankings, Uzbekistan sits in 50th position, while their upcoming opponents boast significantly higher placements. Canada currently occupies 30th place and the Netherlands sits among the world’s elite in seventh.
Tashkent-based powerhouse Pakhtakor leads the domestic contributions, delegating four players to the national roster. Fergana’s Neftchi has provided three players to the campaign while Nasaf, Dynamo and Navbahor have each contributed two individuals to the international squad.
