ACCA Signs Cooperation Agreements with Uzbekistan’s Finance Ministry and Central Bank

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has signed separate memorandums of understanding with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Central Bank to strengthen cooperation in financial reporting, auditing and professional education.
The agreements aim to expand the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), improve professional qualifications and provide greater access to internationally recognized accounting certifications for specialists in Uzbekistan.
Under the partnership with the Finance Ministry, ACCA will support the training of finance and audit professionals, accreditation of university programs and integration of ACCA qualifications into the national education system. The renewed agreement also covers sustainability reporting, audit quality control and professional development for public-sector employees.
The Central Bank’s agreement focuses on strengthening employee training and expanding opportunities for banking professionals to obtain international accounting qualifications.
The latest deals build on ACCA’s growing presence in Uzbekistan, where the organization has supported several initiatives aimed at developing internationally qualified finance professionals and advancing the country’s economic reform agenda.
