God of War Laufey Release Date Closer Than Expected Says Industry Insider

Following the dramatic reveal of God of War Laufey at the latest Sony State of Play presentation, many fans assumed they were in for a lengthy wait. The complete absence of even a tentative release window led to widespread speculation that the highly anticipated Santa Monica Studio project was still in its infancy.
However, prominent Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has stepped in to quash these concerns. Sharing his thoughts shortly after the broadcast concluded, he strongly hinted that the gap between the game’s initial announcement and its eventual launch will be surprisingly short.
«Unlike many other big announcements, this game won’t require a multi-year wait,» the industry insider claimed.
Schreier elaborated that the lack of a public timeline does not automatically indicate a project stuck in the early stages of production.
To support his stance, Schreier revealed that the development team at Santa Monica Studio has already been crafting the title for roughly six years. This extended timeline suggests that the game is actually in a highly advanced state of production and much closer to completion than the recent teaser implied.
These claims align perfectly with previous murmurs from various industry insiders who leaked details about the game prior to its official debut. As confirmed during the recent Sony showcase, the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive will shift the franchise’s spotlight to a brand new protagonist by allowing players to take control of Kratos’ wife Faye.
