Data from the Statistics Agency shows that the total number of registered electric vehicles in Uzbekistan reached 109,200 by the beginning of April. The distribution of these vehicles remains concentrated in the capital, though registration numbers are growing across other regions.

Tashkent accounts for the largest share of the national fleet, with more than 79,800 registered vehicles. The Tashkent region follows with 8,200 electric cars, while the Samarkand region has 4,500 units. Registrations in the Khorezm and Kashkadarya regions stand at 3,000 and 2,600 respectively.

Outside these areas, the Fergana region leads with 2,200 registered electric vehicles, followed by Navoi with 1,700 and Bukhara with 1,600. The Andijan and Namangan regions have recorded 1,400 and 1,100 units respectively, while Karakalpakstan has just over 1,000. Adoption remains lower in the central and southern parts of the country, with Syrdarya recording 799 units, Jizzakh 517 units and the Surkhandarya region reporting the lowest figure at 315 electric cars.

An assessment by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms highlights a year-on-year increase in demand. During April, consumers across the country purchased 8,100 electric vehicles, which is nearly double the sales volume recorded during the same month last year. Tashkent accounted for more than 5,500 of these April transactions. Buyers in the Tashkent and Fergana regions also purchased new vehicles during the month, securing 573 and 464 units respectively.
