Residents reported mild tremors, while authorities confirmed no immediate damage or casualties

A light earthquake was reported near Namangan in eastern Uzbekistan on June 24, according to seismic monitoring services. Residents in parts of the Namangan region reported feeling mild tremors, though no injuries or damage were immediately reported.

Data published by earthquake monitoring platforms indicated that the tremor was relatively weak and was felt by a limited number of people in the area. The earthquake follows several minor seismic events recorded near Namangan and the wider Fergana Valley region in recent weeks.

Uzbekistan is located in a seismically active zone and regularly experiences low- to moderate-magnitude earthquakes, particularly in the eastern part of the country near the borders with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Authorities have not issued any emergency warnings, and there were no reports of disruptions to infrastructure or public services. Seismologists continue to monitor the region for possible aftershocks, although no significant follow-up activity has been recorded.
