South Korean actress Jung Ho-yeon made an unannounced appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19, presenting the championship trophy before kickoff.
Acting in her capacity as a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Jung walked onto the pitch carrying the custom-designed trophy trunk. She was joined for the ceremonial presentation by Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz. The pair unveiled the prize moments before the decisive match to signal the start of the final.

This appearance established Jung as the first Korean actress to participate in an official World Cup final ceremony. While organisers had previously announced that music group BTS would perform during the interval, Jung’s involvement in the pre-match proceedings was kept confidential until she stepped onto the field.
Her participation in the global sporting event coincides with her recent domestic box office success. Her latest science fiction film «HOPE» premiered on July 15 and surpassed 2 mln admissions within five days of its release. This achievement marks the fastest a film has reached that milestone in South Korea this year.
