Just two weeks before the Made by Google 2026 showcase scheduled for August 12 in New York, the technology giant has released a fresh promotional video for the Pixel 11 Pro. The latest marketing material continues the company’s «Ask more of your phone» campaign, which originally launched last year to persuade consumers to fully embrace the Google hardware ecosystem.
Set to an instrumental cut of the Nas track «I Can», the advertisement frames the upcoming smartphone as the logical next step for users heavily invested in the firm’s software suite. The video prominently features a wide array of first-party applications. This expansive list includes popular utilities like Gmail, Google Maps, Search, Calendar, Docs and Gemini.
The teaser also makes a point to highlight Photos, Drive, Meet, Chrome, Slides, Chat, Translate, Keep, Sheets, Play, Home, Nest and Wallet. By showcasing these integrated services, the company aims to demonstrate the seamless daily experience potential buyers can expect from its flagship hardware.
Hardware changes and the Pixel Glow
Beyond software integration, the brief video gives enthusiasts their best look yet at the physical design of the Pixel 11 Pro. Moving away from the angled promotional shots released earlier this month, the new footage provides a direct head-on view of the device’s rear panel.
The most notable visual element is the circular Glow light on the camera bar rotating in a pinwheel animation. While the stylised advertisement adds a dramatic reflective shine around the camera bar’s metal housing, industry experts do not expect the entire frame to illuminate in the final retail version. Instead, the Pixel Glow feature is anticipated to act as a customisable RGB notification LED when the phone rests face down.
Expected specifications and performance upgrades
The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to debut alongside a standard Pixel 11, a larger Pixel 11 Pro XL and a folding variant. Hardware leaks indicate the premium models will feature significant internal upgrades starting with the new Tensor G6 processor. Built on a highly efficient 2-nanometre manufacturing process, the silicon should deliver improved battery life and thermal management compared to earlier generations.
Camera hardware is also reportedly receiving a major overhaul. The Pro line is rumoured to sport a 50-megapixel main sensor flanked by two 48-megapixel lenses for ultrawide and 5x optical telephoto capabilities. Base storage tiers for the premium models are expected to jump from 128GB to 256GB, though this upgrade will likely accompany a noticeable price increase across the entire flagship lineup.
The forthcoming models are slated to introduce a refreshed colour palette featuring options like Canyon, Obsidian, Pine and Dune. To support the advanced hardware, Google is supposedly bumping maximum wired charging speeds to 45W while retaining 15W wireless capabilities. Coupled with up to 16GB of RAM on higher storage configurations, the next-generation handsets appear positioned to heavily leverage on-device artificial intelligence tasks driven by Gemini.
