Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have married in a private ceremony in Portugal, bringing a decade-long romance that began in a Madrid Gucci store to the altar. The couple tied the knot in Cascais on August 11, exactly one year after announcing their engagement.
The 41-year-old football star and Rodriguez, 32, kept the ceremony intimate. They confirmed the marriage on Instagram with a photograph of their wedding rings, opting for a remarkably low-key reveal given the global attention that has followed their relationship.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez met in Madrid in 2016 while she was working at Gucci. Their relationship soon became one of football’s most closely watched celebrity romances, with Rodríguez later building her own career as a model, influencer and the star of Netflix reality series I Am Georgina.
The couple have two daughters together, Alana and Bella, while Rodríguez has helped raise Ronaldo’s three other children, Cristiano Jr and twins Eva and Mateo. In 2022, the couple announced that their newborn son, Bella’s twin brother, had died during childbirth.
