Real Madrid becomes local sponsor for Spanish F1 Grand Prix

Real Madrid has officially partnered with the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix as a local sponsor ahead of the inaugural race in the nation’s capital, MARCA reports. The highly anticipated motorsport event will take place from 11 September to 13 September at the newly constructed IFEMA Madrid circuit.
Acting as a designated local event supporter, the football giant aims to elevate the profile of the upcoming race. The partnership heavily relies on the extreme proximity between the new track and the club’s existing infrastructure. The Ciudad Real Madrid training complex in the Valdebebas neighbourhood sits merely 200 metres from the northern stretch of the racing circuit. This specific section of the track features the sweeping corner recently dubbed La Monumental.
Because of this unique geographical convenience, Formula 1 organisers plan to seamlessly integrate parts of the sprawling 120-hectare football facility into their weekend operations. Sharing the physical footprint will significantly expand the overall logistical capacity for the grand prix while easing the strain on temporary structures.

Merging two global sporting giants
The strategic collaboration extends beyond mere operational support and shared land. According to the sponsorship agreement, Real Madrid will maintain a highly visible presence within the premium hospitality areas throughout the racing weekend. Current schedules include dedicated appearances by celebrated club legends and other prominent figures associated with the team to entertain VIP guests.
By joining forces, race organisers are successfully connecting two of the most lucrative and heavily followed sports properties in the world. The Spanish Grand Prix is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of international spectators to the capital, establishing a new era for the sport in Spain.
Real Madrid’s involvement brings undeniable prestige to the race weekend. Formula 1 executives anticipate that leveraging the club’s massive global social media following will guarantee the Madrid circuit establishes itself immediately as a flagship fixture on the international motorsport calendar.
