Stray Kids member Lee Know has donated 100mn won ($71,000) to support people affected by the devastating floods in Nepal, with the money set to fund emergency relief and recovery efforts.
Lee Know made the donation to World Vision on August 28, asking the international humanitarian organisation to use the funds for children and families affected by the disaster. The money will support food and nutritional assistance, temporary housing, clean water and sanitation as well as wider efforts to help affected communities rebuild their lives.
Through his agency JYP Entertainment, Lee Know said he hoped his contribution would provide some help to people going through a difficult period and expressed his wishes for both survivors and relief workers to return to normal life as soon as possible.
The donation comes as Nepal continues to deal with the aftermath of severe flooding and landslides that have killed hundreds and left thousands missing. The disaster has also prompted international governments and organisations to step up assistance as rescuers search damaged areas and authorities warn of further flood risks.
Changbin adds to Stray Kids’ recent charitable giving
Lee Know’s donation follows another major contribution from a Stray Kids member earlier this month.
Changbin donated 100mn won to Samsung Medical Center in Seoul on August 11 to mark his birthday. The donation is being used to help cover medical treatment for children and adolescents as well as provide psychological support for young patients and their families.
Lee Know’s latest contribution also comes during a busy period for the group, which recently released its new mini-album «THIS & THAT» on August 7.
The record entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1, giving Stray Kids their ninth consecutive chart-topping album in the United States.
Stray Kids continue global RUN IT tour
The group is simultaneously travelling for its ongoing «RUN IT» World Tour, which began in Seoul in July with five concerts at KSPO Dome.
The tour continued in Japan this week, with Stray Kids performing at Tokyo’s MUFG Stadium on August 29 and August 30. The Tokyo concerts mark the group’s first performances at the stadium and come as part of a wider schedule spanning Asia and other international destinations.
The tour was announced as the group’s next major global concert series after the «dominATE» World Tour, which covered 56 shows across 35 cities. «RUN IT» is set to take the group to additional markets as the schedule extends into 2027.
Among the upcoming stops is Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival in September, while further concerts have been announced in locations including Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. The Singapore shows are scheduled for March 6 and 7, 2027, extending the tour well beyond its 2026 dates.
