Uzbek racing driver Ismail Akhmedkhodjaev has won his class at Spa-Francorchamps, giving Rossa Racing its second Ultimate Cup success with the 21-year-old behind the wheel.
Akhmedkhodjaev won the UCS2 class in the second Ultimate GT Sprint Cup race, completing 13 laps in 36 minutes and 56.391 seconds. Two faster UCS1 cars finished ahead of him overall, meaning his victory was a class win rather than an outright one.
Previously, Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that Rossa Racing also secured two pole positions during the Belgian weekend.
The result came at a significant venue. The Ultimate Cup European Series visited Spa-Francorchamps for the first time, bringing its GT, prototype and single-seater fields to the seven-kilometre Belgian circuit, which is famous for Eau Rouge and Raidillon.

Rossa won both Spa sprints
Akhmedkhodjaev shared the Rossa LM GT duties with experienced endurance racer Roman Rusinov.
Rusinov drove the opening sprint, winning not only UCS2 but the race outright, covering 11 laps in 35 minutes 00.745 seconds and finishing ahead of a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 competing in the higher UCS1 category. Akhmedkhodjaev then took over for race two and completed Rossa’s clean sweep of the class.
For the Tashkent driver, Spa also marks a rapid first year in international endurance and GT racing. He became the first Uzbek entrant announced for the Dubai 24 Hours in January and had already won with Rossa at Mugello in July before the Belgian round.

The Ultimate Cup calendar now moves to Navarra in October before its final round at Portimão in November.
