Apple’s new HomeView, TV 4K and HomePod Mini get release timeline

Apple is expected to unveil a major expansion of its smart home line on October 13, led by a new HomeView hub alongside updated Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models.
The products are expected to debut during Apple’s «Welcome home» experience in New York, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini could open for pre-orders this week before reaching customers and stores on October 30.
HomeView, Apple’s first dedicated smart home display, is expected to arrive separately around mid-November. Apple has not officially confirmed the specifications, prices or release dates.
HomeView becomes Apple’s smart home command centre

HomeView is expected to combine a touch-enabled display with Siri voice controls, positioning it as a central interface for connected devices around the home. Bloomberg reported that the device will use Apple’s A18 chip and support the company’s new Siri AI features.
Two versions are reportedly planned. A tabletop model will sit on a metal speaker base, while another version will attach to a wall using a flat square mount. The tabletop edition is expected in grey, silver, starlight and rose, while the wall-mounted model could come in grey and silver.

The tabletop HomeView is also expected to deliver better sound than the new HomePod mini. Users will primarily control the hub through Siri, although the screen will support touch. It will run selected Apple apps but reportedly will not offer a dedicated App Store for third-party software.
Apple’s smart home push could extend beyond the hub itself. The company is reportedly working with brands including LG and Schneider Electric on an «Apple Home Collection» of compatible products.
The line could include a smart doorbell, deadbolt, thermostat, temperature sensor, indoor and outdoor cameras and a floodlight camera. Some of LG’s accessories may not arrive until later in 2026.
HomePod mini moves beyond S5

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is expected to replace the A15 chip used in the current 2022 model with Apple’s A19 processor. Apple has also tested built-in microphones that would allow users to speak to Siri without picking up the remote or using a HomePod.
A redesigned Siri Remote could solve another familiar problem. Apple has reportedly tested a version with an integrated speaker, allowing the remote to produce a sound when users try to locate it.
The HomePod mini 2, meanwhile, is expected to receive its first major processor upgrade since the original speaker launched. Apple is reportedly replacing the S5 chip with the S10 used in the Apple Watch Series 10. The speaker is expected in green, pink, blue, white and midnight.
Both the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 are expected to launch on October 30, with pre-orders reportedly beginning after their October 13 unveiling. HomeView is set to follow around mid-November, giving Apple a staggered rollout for its most significant smart home expansion in years.
