Franklin Templeton Interested in Collaborating with Uzbekistan

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Manraj Sekhon, Chief Investment Officer of Franklin Templeton. The company’s head expressed a keen interest in collaborating on programs to enhance the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, foster the development of the capital market and facilitate people’s IPOs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the advancement of the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan, the restructuring of key state enterprises, and the potential listing of their shares on stock markets.

Franklin Templeton is one of the world’s largest asset management companies, with over 100 offices in 30 countries.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan and the AIIB approved a roadmap with projects worth $4bn.
