Shavkat Mirziyoyev Discussed the Collaboration Projects With ACWA Power

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi company ACWA Power, Muhammad Abunayyan, held a productive discussion on the advancement of investment projects, as reported by the press office of the head of the republic.

The Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) convened in Samarkand for a productive meeting.

The parties have committed to expediting the execution of collaborative projects in energy, utilities, transport, and other areas.

Mirziyoyev emphasised the significant contribution of ACWA Power in attracting investments from Saudi Arabia to boost Uzbekistan’s economy.

ACWA Power is crucial in developing and operating power generation and desalinated water plants. The company’s operations span 13 countries across the Middle East, Central and Southeast Asia, and Africa, contributing to the sustainable development of these regions.

Kursiv Uzbekistan reports that ACWA Power sold a 35% stake in Uzbek power plants.
