Uzbekistan to collaborate with Qatar, China and India

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev negotiated with delegations from Qatar, China and India, each led by their respective finance ministers. The productive talks occurred alongside the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s Board of Governors meeting in Samarkand.

The parties explored ways to enhance collaboration in key areas such as green energy, transportation, healthcare, and tourism. They also deliberated on organising of the Intergovernmental Commission and Business Forum in Doha.

Both parties discussed cultural exchange, financial institution partnerships, and investment projects. They also focused on preparing for the upcoming November meeting with India, during which they plan to discuss the Industrial Cooperation Programme.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reported that Uzbekistan and the AIIB have agreed on an updated roadmap extending to 2026, which includes projects amounting to over $4 billion.
