In Karakalpakstan, the construction of a customs terminal is nearing completion at the Dovut-ota border post, as reported by the Uzbek Customs Committee.

The six-hectare terminal, located on the border with Kazakhstan, aims to enhance the operations of customs, veterinary and other authorities.

The terminal’s opening aligns with the finalisation of the 240-km Kungirot-Beynau road section, which will notably improve the efficiency of foreign economic activities through Dovut-ota.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that the construction of a border post to link Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan had commenced in the Namangan region.
